One of the biggest challenges in moving into leadership roles is learning how to delegate tasks instead of taking on more work yourself. How do you manage that transition, and how do you decide which tasks to delegate to which people? It's easy to say leaders should hand off tasks to their teams, but it's a lot harder to let go and trust people to perform. Read along with Black & Company to see what these industry leaders have to say in response. https://bit.ly/3FceLJZ

In asking most leaders, "how are you?" the common response is "busy" As an optimal performance psychologist, I'll help you upgrade your internal operating system so you can streamline your efforts to increase productivity, profit, and loyalty in your team - so you are no longer consumed with "being busy" but finally able to ENJOY life & leadership again! 📚 Book Recommendation: "Trust-Based Leadership: Marine Corps Leadership Concepts for Today's Business Leaders" I recently had the opportunity to dive into "Trust-Based Leadership," a captivating book by renowned author that explores the valuable leadership concepts of the United States Marine Corps and how they can be applied in today's business world. Drawing from real-life experiences and battle-tested strategies, this book emphasizes the power of trust as the cornerstone of effective leadership. It highlights the importance of building strong relationships, fostering open communication, and empowering individuals to achieve shared goals. One key takeaway I found particularly insightful was the Marine Corps' emphasis on leading by example. By embodying the values they expect from their teams, leaders can inspire trust, loyalty, and commitment. This invaluable lesson has the potential to transform not only how we lead but also how we cultivate high-performing teams in the business arena.

From a fantastic new article by Douglas Lindsay, PhD (US AirForce) up now on BedrockEdu:"Like you, I am on my own leadership development journey. However, that journey has allowed me a certain perspective on leadership that I would like to share for your consideration. I would offer that it is important for us to understand three things when it comes to our leadership. Those are:1. What you stand for.2. How you stand.3. Who you stand for.Let me explain a little about what I mean by those three statements..."https://lnkd.in/g835gSSj

We used Deloitte’s six traits of inclusive leadership to assess how B.O.O.K. Club’s participants are impacted by the sessions. In our most recent cohort, participants scored higher in all six categories at the end of the session than at the beginning. What does this tell us?B.O.O.K. Club is making men into better leaders. Not just better leaders, but men who show up better in the workplace, for their communities, and for their loved ones.Register for the Summer cohort and join the 600% men who have reaped the benefits: https://lnkd.in/g6_X3SUi

I spoke to a packed room today at the #Ohio County Boards of DD’s (OACB) spring conference in Columbus, OH on the topic of Inclusive Leadership. Inclusive leaders assure that all team members feel they belong and treat them fairly and with respect. They also create a safe space for employees to share ideas without judgment, retaliation or retribution. This is an important worthy of discussion because according to research by the Harvard Business Review, teams with Inclusive leaders are:*17% more likely to report that they are high performing *20% more likely to say they make high-quality decisions*29% more likely to report behaving collaboratively Let me hear from you inclusive leaders. Share a time when you lead inclusively. What did you do? #inclusiveleadership #belonging #psychologicalsafety Rodney Eason Nadia Lewis, M.S., SHRM-CP Dr. Patrice McClellan Malaika Bell, MA

How many of us have either been promoted because we are experts in our field, or have promoted staff to leadership roles because THEY are experts? The challenge in leadership is not solely being an expert, but learning how to lead (not just manage), becoming strategic and growing those in our span of control to create future leaders. Becoming a strategic leader is often more difficult than it sounds, but is critical for high performing leadership and building high performing teams. Enjoy this week's conversation as Randy Cantrell and I discuss the importance of becoming a more strategic leader. To Watch: https://lnkd.in/gBdMKcAgTo Listen:https://lnkd.in/gV7B_Jyy
