Pecharunt was controlling Carmine rather than Kieran, that is why she mellows down after Teal Mask before suddenly being possessed by Pecharunt in the epilogue

How could Pecharunt even have controlled Kieran if it was sealed away and only woke up during the events of the epilogue?

Plus at no point does Kieran exhibit signs of being under Pecharunt’s control. No eyes or chains for example.

pecharunt was not sealed it's was just doing nothing but hiding from ogerpon, as for Kieran he was influenced by it as there the same purple aura around his fist when he punched the shrine of the three along side some other context clues surrounding his personality doing a 180.

No, Kieran didn't have the aura in the final scene of the first DLC.

I dunno, that the aura was in his fist instead of head implies it's not Pecharunt's influence.

Remember, all those under the control of Pecharunt have the purple eyes, Kieran didn't. Plus, the others have no memory of what they did, while Kieran doesn't mention anything implying memory loss.

I will say, I would find the idea of Pecharunt being the real power behind Kieran quite amusing but I don't think it's true.

@Red Hunter 543 because when I say influenced all pecharunt did was amplified his negative emotions without assuming direct control so Kieran sill has some agency but his change of personality was not on him outside of felling the negative emotions in the first place.

The game doesn't have to say anything on the matter because the context clues are good enough that it doesn't have to.

problem is one of said clues was the smoke from Kieran's fist when he punched the shrine. That is polly the crux of this whole nonsense about the peach being related to his actions.

I mean one could argue that was just Kieran’s negative emotions reacting to the shrine than Pecharunt.

That the purple aura doesn’t show up again on Kieran indicates to me it’s not a sign he’s being influenced in any way.

He’s still helping the heroes after the Loyal Three return. He only really goes Xbox live once he fails to get Ogerpon and gets jealous of the player.

Speaking of Kieran, I just saw his League Club Room conversation with Carmine, and it's hilarious. She thinks his new hairstyle change is him being edgy, which he denies.

I'm kind of on Kieran's side in that conversation since, like I mentioned earlier, it looks like his grandma's hairstyle. Still a funny conversation, though.

Did a group raid against Blaziken where someone used a Skill Swap Stored Power Slowbro and dang that's some 4D chess.

We didn't win because our two other teammates were belly drum Iron Hands that kept dying and nobody had taunt but A for effort.

Got iron crown and iron boulder. Finished the indigo disk quest and got terapagos. Do I have to actually go to class and then tutor the team star weirdos or can I now jump to the epilogue? I've got the mythical pecha berry gift.

Anyway, it’s strange that Pecharunt took the mob to Loyalty Plaza. What was up there? Nothing important, even if you restored the shrine. But what did Pecharunt think would be up there? Yup, the bodies of the Loyal Three. So it didn’t know they were revived. And it couldn’t have been directly responsible for reviving them.

Also I like how the Combusken Dance theme has the same melody as the Loyal Three theme.

Definitely an interesting observation. It would also explain the scene you get if you send any of the Loyal Three out against Pecharunt. It's really not happy that they're standing up against it.

I find it interesting that Ogerpon reacts in anger towards Pecharunt but the Loyal Three have no reaction to fighting their boss, while Pecharunt is the one angry. There's a lot of mystery to what exactly their relationship is and this just furthers it.
